Capitoline Picture Gallery: The gallery at the Capitoline Museum on the Campidoglio is the first part of the Capitoline Museums to reopen after a long closure for restorations. The display spaces have been cleaned and restored and the collection has been rehung and now includes a number of paintings that had been lost, recovered after theft, or sequestered in private or storage spaces. The temporary entrance , until the rest of the museums are ready, is in the Portico del Vignola, next to the entrance to the Sala of the Protomoteca in Capitol Place. For information on the collection, go to http://www.museionline.it/eng/cerca/museo.asp?id=2320.
